$100 Million "Create Amazing" Campaign At Interlochen

July 25, 2016

Interlochen Center for the Arts has rolled out its "Create Amazing" campaign to raise $100 million for a new music building, a revamped dance building, and much more. The campaign has already raised $91 million in its "quiet phase." The additional dollars will be raised over the next year.

At the core of the campaign is construction of a new music building that will centralize student practice space, faculty offices, and two performence halls; construction is expected to begin in spring. Already nearing completion is the new Dennison Center for Recreation and Wellness, which is slated to open this fall.

The campaign is also expected to fund faculty and scholarships, the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Interlochen Public Radio resources.

Interlochen President Jeff Kimpton is entering his final year of leadership; a search committee has been at work since January to identify Kimpton's successor.
