500 Municipal Leaders In Traverse City Next Week

Sept. 9, 2015

More than 500 mayors, managers and locally elected officials from throughout Michigan are coming to Traverse City next week for the 2015 Michigan Municipal League Convention. The annual conference was last held here in 2007.

“We are excited to come back to Traverse City for our 2015 Convention,” says League President Dick Bolen, mayor pro tem of Wakefield. “The League believes in creating places where people want to live, work and play. Traverse City is one of those outstanding places and we’re excited to show our members first-hand what the community is all about.”

The League will be using multiple downtown and area locations throughout the conference, which runs Sept. 16-18, including education sessions and mobile workshops at the Park Place Hotel, West Bay Beach, the Grand Traverse Commons, the State Theatre, The Corner Loft, City Hall and Bijou by the Bay.
