Junior Achievement Needs Volunteers For School Year

Aug. 17, 2015

Junior Achievement of Northwest Michigan is looking for adults to match with classrooms for the upcoming 2015-16 school year. Civic members, businesspeople, retired teachers and parents are all invited to participate. Junior Achievement provides in-school and after-school programs for students focusing on three content areas: work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Junior Achievement provides training and fun lesson plans with all of the materials necessary to teach. Programs range from five one-hour sessions in elementary grades to six one-hour sessions in middle school. More than 4,000 students in nine counties across Northwest Michigan participate with Junior Achievement every school year. For more information, contact District Manager Leisa Eckerle Hankins at 231-922-6330 or janwm@ja.org.
