NMC Board Member Resigns

March 24, 2015

Cheryl Gore Follette , first elected to the Northwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees in 1992 and again in 1998, 2004 and 2010, resigned last night at the conclusion of the NMC board meeting. The resignation was effective immediately and due to personal reasons, according to Gore Follette.

Gore Follette has held Board officer positions as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair. She was Chair of the Board's Policy Committee and a member of the Board’s Fellows Nomination Committee, and also served on the NMC Foundation Board.

NMC President Tim Nelson says the college will provide an update soon on the process for replacing Gore Follette.
