Outstanding Benzie Business Announced

Webber Insurance Agency of Benzonia is the 2015 recipient of the Benzie County Chamber of Commerce “Outstanding Business Member of the Year” award.

Sue Webber, owner of the 29-year-old agency that represents more than 1,500 clients, says the honor is a "very humbling experience."

"When you look at the list of outstanding businesses that were considered, along with the list of excellent businesses who’ve been past recipients of this distinguish award, we’re extremely honored to have been chosen," says Webber.

Sixteen Chamber members where nominated and 10 completed the application process. Other finalists under consideration were AJ's Excavating, Animal Welfare League of Benzie County, Betsie River Centennial Lily Farm, Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts, Friends of the Darcy Library, Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic, St. Ambrose Cellars, TC Office Express and Tiny Bubbles Charters.
Webber will receive the award at the Chamber's Annual Dinner on Oct. 27 at 5:30pm at Crystal Mountain. The event is open to the public. Ticket information is available by calling the Chamber at 231-882-5801 or clicking here.
