Ten Apply For NMC Board Seat

Northwestern Michigan College officials will meet this afternoon (Tues.) to review application materials submitted by 10 individuals for the seat vacated by former Trustee Cheryl Gore Follette and to confirm the interview process. The appointment will expire on December 31, 2016.

The following individuals submitted applications by the April 10 deadline:

Metta T. Lansdale, Jr. – retired director of the Traverse Area District Library
Christopher Dailey – ran for the board in the November 2014 election; starting nonprofit focused on veterans
Thomas M. Lennox – retired State of Michigan administrator; current educator
Rachel Johnson – member services & communications manager, Cherryland Electric Cooperative
James W. Levy, co-owner & vice president of human resources for INDIGO Health Partners; 14 years on board of Northport Public Schools
Chris M. Bott, CPA, Bott & Company and NMC alum
Allison Beers, owner of Events North
Robert D. Hentschel, business owner & former Grand Traverse County Commissioner
Andrew Kempf, president of 4Front Credit Union
Keith Adler, Ph.D., retired from Michigan State University (faculty member and program administrator)

Jim Morrison and Walter "Ray" Draeger III also submitted applications but both live outside Grand Traverse County.

The Board of Trustees search committee meets at 2pm in the President's Office of the Tanis Building on NMC's main campus.
