Public Forum Scheduled Regarding NMC Presidential Search

Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) has announced a public forum concerning its ongoing search for a new president. The forum, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, will seek to gather input from the public “regarding expectations, visions, and qualities for the next president of NMC.”

In January, NMC hired the consulting firm Pauly Group, Inc.to spearhead its presidential search. Pauly Group’s Marsi Liddell will be on hand at the April 2 forum to explain the search process and to field questions and comments from the public.

The college is seeking a successor for current President Tim Nelson, who will retire from his position at the end of 2019. Nelson has led NMC since 2001 and will end his tenure as the longest-running president in the college’s history.

The forum on April 2 will begin at 5:30pm at the Hagerty Center. The event is open to all, but the college asks that those planning to attend register ahead of time, either by visiting nmc.edu/transition or by calling 231-995-1010.
