Acme Fall Festival Set for September 26

The sixth annual Acme Fall Festival will take place Saturday, September 26 from 10am-4pm at Flintfields Horse Park in Acme.

Planned activities include a farmers market and bake sale; classic car and tractor show; a craft show and live demonstrations; kids activities including pumpkin decorating, pony rides and a bounce house; silent auction and raffle; a Chicken BBQ Dinner from 11am-4pm (tickets for the dinner may be purchased in advance at Woodland Sweets and Ace Hardware in Acme); a food tent featuring local cherry brats, hot dogs and other fare; an apple and cherry pie cooking contest (pies must be delivered by 10am, with judging beginning at 2:30pm); and entertainment including a Wings of Wonder Live Raptor Show at 10:30am, poetry performance by Jim Ribby at 12:30pm, juggling by Matthew Peplinski at 1:30pm and line dancing with Ryan Dobry and the Diamonds and Denim Dancers closing out the event.

General admission to the festival is free; however, donations will be accepted for parking. Tickets for kids activities will also be sold at a nominal charge. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Yuba Historic Society and Mt. Holiday Ski & Recreation Area. Last year, the Acme Fall Festival - which is organized by the Acme Business Association - drew approximately 6,000 people. For more information, click here.
