Bow Hunting Season Opens On Power Island

Oct. 2, 2014

Bow hunters can once again hunt deer on Power Island, now through November 14. Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation opened the season to control the deer population and prevent attrition through starvation. No permit fee is required, but all hunters must carry the appropriate deer license and follow all DNR guidelines and laws related to hunting. Hunting antlerless deer is encouraged.
