Canoeing Twosome Sharing Great Lakes Adventure

Aug. 23, 2014

Ever aspire to take a grand Great Lakes adventure aboard a kayak or canoe? Hear how one (newly-married) couple did it – and survived – at a book event tonight (Saturday), 6-8pm, at Horizon Books in downtown TC.

Author Julie Buckles and her canoe-mate took a 1,700-mile trip in a handmade canoe from Lake Superior to northern Canada and the result is an award-winning memoir, "Paddling to Winter." Buckles will do a reading, share a slideshow and sign books.
