Cash Mob Planned For West Front Businesses

Aug. 5, 2015

West Front Street is about to get mobbed … cash-mobbed, that is. Traverse City State Bank is organizing a community cash mob tomorrow (Thursday) from 7am-7pm to encourage support of businesses in the West Front Street Business District hit hard by this summer's construction project. The business district stretches from The Flower Station to The Cheese Lady.

“We’re in the business of helping our community’s businesses and organizations thrive," says Cindy Godmer, branch manager of Traverse City State Bank's downtown branch. "We see them suffering and we want to help them."

Earlier this month, The Ticker reported on the impact of the construction project, which has encountered several delays and is now eyeing an August 12 completion date – over a month later than originally planned.
