Driver Arrested for Outstanding Warrants, Cocaine

A man pulled over on Union Street in downtown TC Tuesday evening for a seat belt violation was found to also have cocaine and five outstanding arrest warrants. Traverse City Police officers pulled the 25 year-old Traverse City man over and determined that his driver’s license was suspended and he had a prior Driving While License Suspended conviction. After his arrest, it was determined the driver also had five outstanding warrants for his arrest from St. Joseph, Mich., Farmington Hills, Mich., and Traverse City. A vehicle search then uncovered a vial of a white powdery substance that tested positive for the presence of cocaine.

The man is lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail on charges of Driving While License Suspended 2nd Offense, Possession of Cocaine, and for the five outstanding warrants.
