Eighth Street Restriping Today

April 1, 2015

City workers will be repainting the lane markings on Eighth Street today (Wednesday) from 9am to noon between Woodmere and Lake Avenues, as well as on the northern end of Woodmere. Travel lanes will be restricted in the affected sections of the corridor during the repainting process. Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion until the work is completed.

The paint stripings are part of a year-long pilot project to test new lane configurations on Eighth Street ahead of a planned 2018 reconstruction of the road.
