MacArthur Fellow Coming To Interlochen

Poet Terrance Hayes, who will give a public reading at Interlochen Center for the Arts on Oct. 30, has been named a 2014 MacArthur Fellow. Hayes' poetry reflects on race, gender and family.

The 2014 class of MacArthur Fellows recognizes 21 exceptionally creative individuals with a track record of achievement and the potential for significant contributions in the future. Each fellow receives a no-strings-attached stipend of $625,000, paid out over five years, and allows individuals total freedom to follow their creative visions.

Tickets for the Oct. 30 reading at Interlochen are $18 adult, $15 senior, and $10 youth and can be purchased here or by calling 276.7800.
