Traverse City Organization Invited To White House

Jan. 23, 2015

Addiction Treatment Services (ATS), a Traverse City nonprofit which provides support around substance abuse recovery and mental health, was called to Washington, D.C. this week. Executive Director Chris Hindbaugh received an invitation from the White House earlier this month to participate in a meeting co-hosted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.

ATS was the only provider from Michigan invited to the meeting, recognized for its innovative and progressive work in the treatment field. The group was brought together to discuss the latest programs and policies in the field of substance abuse disorders and mental health treatment and how the Affordable Care Act is expanding coverage and access.
