A New Name For TAAR

Sept. 17, 2020

The Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) is crafting a new identity. The new Aspire North brand will showcase the area in a way that will better reflect its service area, which now extends well beyond Traverse City and Grand Traverse County. Due to the pandemic, the association has adapted the delivery of many of its programs and services to a virtual platform for both members and the public.

The Traverse Area Association of Realtors was first established in 1926, then re-established in 1946 after going dark during the Great Depression. In 1994 it was renamed the Traverse Area Association of Realtors.

The official launch of the new brand will take place at the association’s general membership meeting in October. The full public launch will be Jan. 1, 2021.
