Authorities Investigating Bahle Park Vandalism

Nov. 24, 2016

Leelanau County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the vandalism of a warming hut at Bahle Park in Suttons Bay.

According to a department statement released Wednesday, the damage occurred sometime overnight on Sunday. What deputies believe was one or more male suspects broke out a large exterior window on the hut, discharged fire extinguishers, broke mirrors, and turned on the water, leaving it to run. Pornographic material was also left inside the building. Authorities characterized the damage to the property as "considerable."

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact Deputy John Donohue at 231-256-8800.
