Autopsy Pending for Body Found at Clinch Park

A 35-year-old woman from West Branch called 911 Monday afternoon after walking on the dock at Clinch Park Marina in Traverse City and discovering a body floating in the water. The Traverse City Police Department, Traverse City Fire Department and Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office responded and removed the body from the water. The body is that of a middle-aged male; he had numerous tattoos and long black hair. Officials preliminarily said the body had likely been there for weeks or months. The TCPD  is currently working on identifying the victim. An autopsy is scheduled for today (Tuesday) to determine the cause of death.
