Baribeau to Become Full-Time Opera House Director

June 6, 2015

Diana Baribeau, part-time managing director of the City Opera House, is joining the organization full-time as its executive director. Baribeau has juggled responsibilities between COH and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts in Lansing since 2010. She will transition to her new full-time role in Traverse City in early August.

According to City Opera House Heritage Association (COHHA) President Karen Smith, “The COHHA Board couldn't be more excited that Di has chosen to be with COH full- time. We see it as another step up for COH as it serves those who value the vibrant arts and culture offerings in northern Michigan.”

Baribeau says she's had "a remarkable career" at Wharton and looks forward to her next chapter in Traverse City. "I am eager to move to our home in northern Michigan and focus my attention full time on advancing (the) City Opera House," she says.
