Bids Sought For TCAPS Properties

By Beth Milligan | July 18, 2017

Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) has issued a request-for-proposals (RFP) seeking bids on four vacant properties owned by the school district.

Properties include the 1.78 acre vacant lot at the corner of Thirteenth and Wadsworth streets, nearly 80 acres of vacant land on Potter and Four Mile roads, 80 acres of vacant land on Cedar Run Road, and 40 acres of vacant land on Church Road.  A $700,000 purchase offer from Socks Construction for the Thirteenth Street property prompted TCAPS board members in June to seek bids on all of their vacant parcels to gauge interest from buyers in the sites.

Bid responses are due to TCAPS by August 7 at noon at the TCAPS Administration Building at 412 Webster Street. Responses should include the offered purchase price and a detailed explanation of the proposed use of the property. For property details and other info, click here.
