Bill Marsh Donates CPR Unit To Leland Fire Department

March 5, 2016

The Leland Township Fire and Rescue department received a new CPR and defibrillator training unit Friday thanks to a donation from Bill Marsh Auto Group and the National Auto Dealers Association (NADA).

Bill Marsh applied for and received a grant from the NADA Charitable Foundation, which helped pay for a Resuscitation Anne and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training unit for the department. The resuscitation dummy helps first responders perfect CPR techniques, while the AED unit demonstrates the proper way to jolt a heart back into a pulse.

First responders gave Bill Marsh employees a demonstration on the equipment Friday to show how it can be used to save lives. “These are vital skills for all first responders,” says Bill Marsh Chrysler Manager Mike West. “Anything we can do to help them save lives will benefit the entire community.”

NADA has awarded medical grants since 1975, paying for an estimated 4,800 CPR training units that have helped train over two million first responders.
