Cherry Capital Airport Adds 424 More Parking Spaces, Other Amenities
June 2, 2022
Cherry Capital Airport has added 424 new parking spaces, marking a 43-percent increase in TVC’s long-term parking capacity. The airport also announced an investment of $3.2 million in the addition of a third lane and the latest technology at its Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints in advance of the busy summer season.
Airport officials also opened the first ever United Service Organizations (USO) partnership at Cherry Capital Airport. The partnership will offer welcome bags to every active military guest flying in or out of the airport. The bags feature local chocolate covered cherries, energy bars, and toiletries. A "hybrid" station with the welcome bags will be located at Cherry Country Gift Shop and Cafe. It is one of more than 250 hybrid USO locations serving the nation’s active military.
“We are thrilled to be able to unveil these critical pieces serving our northern Michigan community. Our regional airport is about to welcome what many believe to be one of the busiest travel seasons in our history," said Kevin Klein, CEO.
