Cherry Capital Airport To Offer COVID-19 Testing For Incoming Passengers

By Beth Milligan | April 6, 2021

Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) will offer on-site COVID-19 testing in the main airport terminal for incoming passengers starting Wednesday, April 7.

The service is being provided courtesy of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in conjunction with the department’s Travel Points Testing Project, which focuses on testing for incoming travelers at ports of entry across Michigan. Testing is available to any TVC traveler passing through the terminal on the day of arrival with proof of  travel (boarding pass or itinerary schedule). An antigen (or quick) test will be provided.

Tests are voluntary, provided at no cost, and performed on a walk-in basis. Patients are not required to have insurance to be tested. However, the law requires administrators to ask if a patient has insurance, with insurance information collected if the answer is yes. There is an approximate 30-minute timeline from test registration to results. The registration and collection process takes 15 minutes, with results being emailed/texted to patient approximately 15 minutes after sample collection.

Below is the initial testing schedule at Cherry Capital Airport, subject to change as flights shift heading into summer:

Sunday – 3pm to 11pm
Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Closed
Wednesday – 2pm to 10pm
Thursday – Closed
Friday – 12pm to 8pm
Saturday – Closed
