Cherryland Cares Grants $8,600 To Area Non-Profits

Cherryland Cares awarded $8,600 last week to three northwest Michigan area non-profit organizations. Receiving grants were Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, Grand Traverse Dyslexia Association, and The Dream Team – Traverse City.

Cherryland Cares is the charitable fund overseen by a five volunteer Cherryland Electric Cooperative members who review grant applications and allocate money to non-profit organizations seeking assistance. Cherryland Cares is funded by members electing to round up their monthly Cherryland electric bill to the nearest dollar.
