City Sewer Inspections Begin Today

May 31, 2016

Traverse City crews will be conducting waste water sewer televising and inspection work at various locations throughout the city beginning today (Tuesday) and continuing through July 29.

Locations that will require more extensive traffic control and partial lane closures to accommodate the work include: East Front Street, Grandview Parkway, Division Street, Fourteenth Street, Veterans Drive, Cass Street, Union Street, Lake Street, Oak Street, Railroad Avenue, Woodmere Avenue, Hannah Avenue, Garfield Avenue, East Eighth Street, Peninsula Drive and the downtown district. The work will "be done by contractors and city crews working together to minimize the disruption to traffic flow," according to a city statement.

Flags will be in place in work areas to alert drivers to the presence of workers and/or lane closures.
