Clean Out Your Garage: Father Fred Will Do the Rest

The Father Fred Foundation is on the hunt for donations for its semi-annual garage sale fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds from the garage sale are used for the purchase of food pantry items or for providing financial assistance to local families in need. Here's what's needed for the sale and what you need to know:
• New and gently-used toys, art, antiques, sporting goods, books, small appliances, jewelry, collectables, linens, and clothing, may be dropped off through August 31.
• Donations of furniture in good condition will be accepted until the day prior the sale (September 14).
* If needed, volunteers from the Foundation will pick-up heavy/large furniture items through the week of September 7. Prior arrangements must be made by calling 947-2055.
• Donations may be dropped off at Father Fred, 826 Hastings St. in Traverse City, Tuesday through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 231-947-2055
