County Offices Temporarily Relocating During Gov Center Construction

Grand Traverse County offices on the first floor of the Governmental Center are undergoing renovations to "modernize and improve the overall work environment, update finishes, and create a more efficient layout for staff and the public," according to a county release. To accommodate the remodel, the Treasurer, Register of Deeds, and County Clerk Vital Records offices will be temporarily relocated.

"These moves are necessary to clear space for construction and will be completed in phases to ensure all public services remain operational throughout the process," according to the release. The following is the relocation schedule, temporary location, and contact information for each department:

1st Floor, Historic Courthouse: Please note that Historic Courthouse visitors are subject to a metal detector. No weapons, explosives, knives, scissors, or razor blades permitted.

Renovations are expected to be complete with offices returning to the first floor of the Governmental Center by mid-March.
