Daycare Investigation Leads To Child Abuse Charges

Nov. 20, 2015

Two Kingsley women are facing fourth degree child abuse charges following an investigation into a local daycare. Charges have been authorized against Kristy Lynn Helmreich and Mary Esther Zenner after a two-year-old boy in their care at Honey Bee Daycare wandered out into Voice Road on November 3. A motorist spotted the boy standing in the roadway and stopped to help. The driver returned the boy to the nearby daycare and contacted authorities.

The Department of Human Services is still investigating the case.
