Free Brush Site Pass For Township Residents

Residents of Garfield, Long Lake and East Bay townships can obtain a free yard waste pass good for a trip to the Grand Traverse County brush drop-off site thanks to RecycleSmart.

The pass is good for one free trip/load not to exceed up to three cubic yards of material at the brush drop-off site at 2471 N. Keystone Road. Acceptable materials for drop-off include brush, branches (up to 12 inches in diameter), leaves and grass clippings. Brush site hours are Tuesdays 12-7pm and Thursdays and Saturdays 9am-3pm.

Garfield Township residents can pick up a pass at Garfield Township Hall Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-6pm. Long Lake Township residents can pick up a pass at Long Lake Township Hall Tuesday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm. East Bay Township residents can pick up a pass at East Bay Township Hall Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm. A valid ID is required to verify township residence.
