Grow a Beard, Benefit Others

Oct. 23, 2013

Face feeling a little chilly these days? Well, here's your chance to grow a beard for a good cause. United Way of Northwest Michigan is hosting "Novembeard 2013," a beard-growing contest to benefit Alternative Spring Break and Wigs for Kids.

Here's how it works: The goal is for each beard-growing participant to get daily pledges for each day facial hair isn't shaved over the 30-day period. Then people will vote (with money) for which beard they think is best at the end of November. Click here for info on how to enter the contest and the rules.
