GT County Begins Search for Next Road Commission Manager

Aug. 2, 2012

The search for the next manager of the Grand Traverse County Road Commission is on. The road commission board in May voted not to renew current Manager Mary Mary Gillis contract, which expires October 16. Jen Seman, GT County human resources director, tells The Ticker that, following a determination of the job description made with road commission board members earlier this week, she is creating a recruitment profile that will be distributed to local and national media, job boards and associations. Seman says she and the board are estimating two rounds of interviews with a final decision and approval likely coming at the regularly scheduled board meeting October 25. The aim is to have the winning candidate in place by mid- to late-November or early December.
