Jason Isbell & 400 Unit, Jason Mraz to Perform at Interlochen

By Beth Milligan | Dec. 11, 2023

Two performers have been confirmed for the 2024 Interlochen Arts Festival next summer: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on June 21 and Jason Mraz on July 16.

Interlochen typically doesn't announce its summer lineup until the new year, but both artists have publicly posted their Interlochen dates on their official tour websites. Jason Isbell - known for his solo career and for his six years as a member of Drive-By Truckers, as well as his work with the band 400 Unit - was just named Paste Magazine's Artist of the Year. Isbell and the 400 Unit's 2023 album Weathervanes received three Grammy nominations, including Best Americana Album, Best American Roots Song, and Best Americana Performance. Isbell, a four-time Grammy winner, is also an actor, appearing in the film Killers of the Flower Moon this year as well as making previous appearances in shows including Deadwood and Billions.

Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz - known for hits including I Won't Give Up, I'm Yours, Lucky, and You and I Both - is a two-time Grammy winner. He is also the recipient of two Teen Choice Awards, a People's Choice Award, and the Hal David Songwriters Hall of Fame Award. Mraz has sold over seven million albums and over 11.5 million in digital singles. He just finished competing as a contestant on season 32 of the hit show Dancing with the Stars, finishing the competition in second place.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform at Interlochen on June 21 as part of the band's extensive North American tour. Jason Mraz will perform on July 16, a show billed as "The Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride: Jason Mraz & The Superband with special guest TBA." An on-sale date for tickets for both shows has not yet been announced. Interlochen Center for the Arts Director of Communications Maureen Oleson says Interlochen plans to announce two shows on February 19 at 10am, with tickets for those two shows going on sale February 23. However, Interlochen isn't naming the artists for those two shows yet. After February 19, Interlochen is planning on weekly lineup announcements (as shows are confirmed) on Mondays continuing into early May, Oleson says.
