Kalamazoo Woman Arrested After Traffic Stop

A 40-year-old Kalamazoo woman was arrested following an early morning traffic stop Tuesday.

A Leelanau County Sheriff's Office deputy clocked the woman going 76mph on M-72 near Lautner Road just after 1am. The deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle. While speaking to the woman, the deputy smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and determined the woman was intoxicated.

The woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and lodged at Leelanau County Jail.
