A Kingsley woman is facing multiple charges after being arrested following a five-mile canine track.
Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched Tuesday morning at 8am to a home invasion complaint in Blair Township. A preliminary investigation "showed that a homeowner saw a woman in his driveway from his Ring doorbell," according to an MSP release. "He then saw the woman enter his residence, remove items, and leave. Trooper Unterbrink and his canine partner, Ox responded to the scene to assist with locating the woman."
After a five-mile canine track, the woman was found in thick vegetation, according to MSP. The 44-year-old suspect was arrested and lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail on multiple charges. Official charges and the woman’s identity will not be released until after arraignment, according to MSP.
