Local Candidates Profiled in New Virtual Forum

July 26, 2014

The Traverse City Chamber has launched a Virtual Candidate Forum to help voters pick their candidates for two upcoming races – the 104th State House and the 37th State Senate districts.

"Given the large number of local candidates, particularly for the 104th State House Republican primary, we wanted to come up with a way for them to effectively express their views to our membership and public, "says Kent Wood, director of government relations for the Chamber.

The forum includes written responses to a series of questions developed by Chamber staff on various topics, including business-related issues, education funding, transportation and more. The candidates also have brief video presentations.
