Loss of Local Newsman

The Ticker is deeply saddened to report the loss of a well-respected local newsman: 9&10 News/Fox 32 Anchor Scott Michael Trager died unexpectedly yesterday morning. According to information posted on the station's website, Trager began his career at 9&10 News in 1990 and was currently the co-anchor of Michigan This Morning. Among his many accolades were two Emmy Awards from the National Television Academy Michigan Chapter. He also helped create the award-winning Sports Overtime show while he served as sports director at 9&10 News in the mid 1990's. "For over 20 years Scott Michael Trager has been part of the 9&10 News family," station owner Mario Iacobelli said in a statement. "From his dynamic sports reporting to his professional yet funny personality he showed at the anchor desk, his impact will never be forgotten." Trager is survived by his wife and three children.
