M-37 Bridge Repairs Start Monday South of Chums Corner

By Beth Milligan | Aug. 11, 2024

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin a nearly $1 million project to repair the M-37 bridge over the MDOT railroad corridor south of Chums Corner in Grand Traverse County Monday.

Work, which will extend the service life of the bridge, will include a partial concrete deck overlay, expansion joint replacement, deck patching, end joint resealing, and bridge approach repairs. The project is expected to last until October 10.

The work will require single-lane closures and traffic shifts. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction.
