Mobile Vaccine Clinic Offered In Fife Lake For Anyone 18+

By Beth Milligan | April 9, 2021

To ensure "equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine," the Grand Traverse County Health
Department will hold its first satellite vaccination clinic in Fife Lake Township on Friday, April 16 from 10am to 5pm.

The clinic will take place at the Fife Lake Township Office at 134 Morgan Street. The clinic is available to anyone 18 years of age and older. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Fife Lake Township Office at 231-879-3963 from Monday-Friday 9am-1pm.

"Now that we have hit our stride with administering vaccine at Northwestern Michigan College’s
Hagerty Center, we are able to reach out to residents in some of the corners of the county that are
more rural," says Health Officer Wendy Hirschenberger. "We need to ensure that we are offering the vaccine to those that may not have the capability or means to drive into Traverse City for an appointment. It is imperative that we continue to strive for equitable distribution of the vaccine. We
are happy that Fife Lake Township Office was willing to partner with us and provide a space and
scheduling to us in our efforts."

Additional satellite clinics will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the Health Department.
