Munson Opens New Specialty Clinic In Elk Rapids

By Craig Manning | Feb. 19, 2026

Munson Healthcare has opened the doors to a new outpatient specialty care clinic in Elk Rapids, the organization announced this week. Per Munson, the new clinic opened on Monday, February 16 “as part of ongoing efforts to provide greater access and convenience to patients.”

Located at 115 Bridge Street, the clinic will offer consultation in three medical specialties, “in addition to existing lab services. The doctors active at the clinic are Dr. Nick Zendler and Dr. Anne Pawlak (both neurologists), Dr. John Campbell (a neurosurgeon), and Dr. Nicole Tramontini-Gunn (a rheumatologist).

“Transportation is one of the greatest barriers in rural healthcare,” said Laura Glenn, Munson Healthcare’s chief operating officer. “We’ve seen how specialty outreach in a variety of areas has benefited patients in many of our communities and we’re excited to be expanding this access to our specialists in neurosciences and rheumatology.”

Munson Medical Center in Traverse City will remain “the hub for most treatments, surgical procedures, and diagnostics in neurology and rheumatology,” but the Elk Rapids clinic “represents a broader initiative to improve accessibility and convenience for patients,” according to a Munson press release.

Lab services at the clinic will be available from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Patients interested in seeing one of the specialists are asked to seek referrals from their primary care physician, or to contact the clinic at 231-392-0430 (for neurology), 231-392-0640 (for neurosurgery), or 231-935-2525 (for rheumatology).
