Munson Parking Structure Set To Begin Construction

By Ross Boissoneau | Sept. 1, 2017

Construction on Munson Medical Center’s parking structure is set to begin Sept. 19. The three-story structure will be built in the hospital’s current Parking Lot A. The hospital will offer a valet parking service with patient drop-off at the main lobby entrance beginning Sept. 11. The service will operate from 8am-6pm. Patients who choose not to use the valet service can park in Lot B adjacent to the Cowell Family Cancer Center.

Vice President for Facilities Steve Tongue says when completed, the project will provide 571 spaces for patient and visitor parking. Plans call for the parking structure project to be completed in the fall of 2018. The structure is the first step in a larger project that will upgrade facilities for women and children, expand operating room capacity, and allow for more private rooms.
