New Lands Under Stewardship of GT Conservancy

Jan. 1, 2013

Nearly 50 more acres of northern Michigan land is now under the stewardship of the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Owner Judy Twigg has donated a 25-acre sanctuary, Nana's Woods, adjacent to the Elizabeth Parr Preserve along Benzie County's Lake Michigan coastline. Also, in Traverse City the Reffitt Nature Preserve has been expanded by 20 acres, which will provide additional recreation opportunities in the coming years.
