NMC Faculty Set To Picket Sunday

July 27, 2016

Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) full-time faculty, which voted to unionize, will hold an informational picket this Sunday, July 31, before the start of the free Traverse City Film Festical movie at the Open Space. REpresentatives say the picket will begin "at around 7:30pm" at Grandview Parkway and Union Street.

"NMC faculty is picketing to let the community know that faculty must have a voice in decision-making at NMC," a statement said. "The college is diminished when the administration ignores the concerns and ideas of the faculty and staff who work directly with students."
