Rent-Free Artist Studios Coming Available

March 31, 2014

New senior residential club Cordia at Grand Traverse Commons is offering the opportunity for four Michigan-based artists to receive personal, rent-free studio space for one year. The studio space is approximately 90 square feet and is part of the club's new Artisan Center.

In addition to interacting with residents and the community, the artists-in-residence will be able to teach weekly lessons and host lectures.

Applications are being accepted now through May 1. An advisory committee will determine 8-10 finalists, who will be interviewed by Cordia staff. Studio residencies will begin in October with a possibility for renewal for an additional year.
