Salvation Army Seeks Disaster Support

Aug. 12, 2015

The Salvation Army Traverse City Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) is looking to the community for support of relief efforts in the wake of the severe weather in Glen Arbor and surrounding areas. The EDS canteen has provided more than 600 meals in its relief efforts so far and anticipates the need for another two weeks. Critical needs include financial donations, restaurant/business (ServSafe-prepared) foods/box lunches, fresh fruit and produce, hydration and other in-kind donations. The Salvation Army is also in need of volunteers to create menus, assist with food shopping, food preparation and other support activities.

For additional information on how you or your business can help, contact Director of Community Resource Development Ruth Blick at 231.631.0248.
