Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market Back This Weekend

By Craig Manning | April 30, 2026

Folks, it's almost farmers market season.

The Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market will make its seasonal debut this Saturday, May 2 in Lot B at the corner of Cass and Grandview Parkway. The market will then run every Saturday throughout the season, always from 7:30am to noon.

Also returning soon is the midweek market, which will run at the same location every Wednesday from 8am to noon, starting Wednesday, June 3 and running through October.

“The opening of the Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market is a sign that spring has truly arrived in Traverse City,” said Harry Burkholder, executive director of the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority, which hosts the Traverse City markets. “The market is more than just a place to shop – it’s a community tradition that supports local agriculture, small businesses, and brings people together in the heart of downtown.”
