Sewer Project Starts Monday in Front Street Alley

By Beth Milligan | April 7, 2023

Contractors will be closing portions of the north alley in the 100 block of Front Street starting Monday for several weeks for a sanitary sewer relocation project.

Work in the alley between Union and Cass streets along the Boardman River will start Monday and is anticipated to be substantially complete by May 29. The 24-inch sanitary sewer main that sits directly on top of the river retaining wall foundation needs to be relocated further south away from the river for safety reasons. Thru traffic and public parking will not be accessible during the duration of the project. Access to the pedestrian bridge will be disrupted during portions of the project.

Work is weather dependent and may require schedule modifications.
