Sidewalk Construction To Take Place On Fern Street Now Through May 28

By Beth Milligan | April 7, 2021

The City of Traverse City, Machin Engineering, Elmer’s Crane and Dozer, and Bella Concrete Construction crews will be constructing new sidewalk on Fern Street starting this week.

Crews will be working on the east and west sides of Fern Street between Carver Street and East Eighth Street. The work is expected to be substantially complete by May 28. Affected street segments will be closed to through traffic when workers are present, and on-street parking will be prohibited at the work zones. Delays can be expected. Appropriate signage and barricades will be in place around the work site.
