TC Man Killed, Three Hospitalized in Garfield/Potter Crash

A 46-year-old Traverse City man was killed and a 35-year woman and two children - ages 6 and 10 - were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Monday at the intersection of Garfield and Potter roads.

The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office, GT Metro Fire, Blair Township Fire, and East Bay Ambulance responded to the scene of the accident at approximately 1:10pm Monday. According to the Sheriff's Office, information gathered indicated that a northbound vehicle driven by the Traverse City man was struck by an eastbound vehicle operated by the woman, who had two children in the vehicle with her. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The woman and children were taken with injuries to Munson Medical Center.

The names of the victims have not yet been released. The crash is still under investigation with assistance from the Michigan State Police, according to the Sheriff's Office.
