TCBN: Area Employers Discuss Barriers to Hiring, Retaining Employees

Feb. 1, 2024

Leaders from some of the area’s largest and most notable employers cite housing, childcare and other matters as major barriers to hiring and retaining employees.

Human resources professionals from Traverse City Area Public Schools, TentCraft, Mission Restaurant Group (Jolly Pumpkin, Blue Tractor, etc.), Munson Healthcare, Grand Traverse Resort and Spa and Interlochen Center for the Arts recently sat down for an in-depth roundtable with The Ticker’s sister publication Traverse City Business News to discuss challenges and strategy in the post-COVID world.

In addition to discussing the above challenges, these leaders discusss the importance of culture and share some of their strageties for stability and growth moving forward.

It’s just one of several engaging and informative features in the February issue of TCBN. Other topics include trends in digital marketing, the outlook for our region’s meeting and event spaces, organized labor in northern Michigan, travel happenings and much more, along with several columns from local experts and briefs on local businesses.
