TCLP Earns Reliability Mark

May 30, 2015

Traverse City Light & Power has earned the Reliable Public Power Provider (RP) designation from the American Public Power Association. TCLP is one of just 191 of more than 2,000 public power utilities to secure the mark, which is given for providing consumers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service.

The RP3 designation, which lasts for three years, recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.

“We’re honored to receive the RP3 designation,” says TCLP Executive Director Tim Arends. “Our utility staff puts in a lot of hard work to serve this community. RP3 represents a much appreciated recognition of this hard work.”
